Family life is not always peaceful and happy. There have been (or will have) conflicts between family members, especially in difficult times: job loss, unfaithfulness, tension in intergenerational relationships, differences in political stances, pandemic, etc. As Vietnamese Catholics, how will we resolve those contradictions? The Bible and Vietnamese culture are the best means of resolving these disagreements. With this topic, we will together seriously dissect this issue.
Before 1975, Prof. Quyen Di served as Assistant Director, Board of Textbook & Curriculum Preparation, Dalat University, Vietnam. He trains teachers of Vietnamese Language around the world, and has been on the Vietnamese American National Catechetical Committee for nearly three decades. He lectures on Vietnamese language, culture and literature at ULCA and CSULB. He lectures on Education & Teaching Methodology at CSUF. He is a visiting professor at Oblate School of Theology. He is a trained spiritual director and family counselor. Prof. Quyên Di recently accepted an International Consultant position for the International Institute of Culture and Gender Studies, as well as a member of the Executive Board of the Formation Support for Vietnam organization (FSVN.)
